Twitter

I just joined TWITTER this summer and it is a wonderful way to develop professionally. I am meeting teachers all over the country (and world) without having to get on an airplane. A number of ideas in today's presentation actually came from TWEETS/messages people sent. I keep the account scholarly and I started with 10 followers. Now I am following over 100 people. Here are some of the people I follow.

I try to participate in #psychat every week. Here's one idea I shared with my #psychat colleagues! T-shirts!

Twitter can be a great way to get ideas, lessons,
scholarly articles, current news topics. Students can use it as a way to comment or summarize an article succinctly and/or find viewpoints as evidence to support an argument. In schools where this type of social media is allowed, students can even use to to discuss ideas amongst themselves.
